DBH Re-Visits:Psycho(1960)

By Eric Polk-
Ahhh, thank goodness I'm married to a non-horror fan. One of the best parts of sharing your life with someone who doesn't watch the genre with the fervor as you have is the rare moment when she asks to watch a classic horror movie you've seen more times than your mother has seen your laundry. It's that special moment in your life that made you glad you married the right one.

DBH Re-visits:Tombs of the Blind Dead(1971)

By Eric Polk-
Starting this month, I'm going into Bad Horror Movie Hell. Tons o' crap will be disgracing my tv screen so I figure I'd better get a great movie in before my trip into the celluloid sewer begins in earnest.

Dollar Bin Horror Re-Visits:Friday the 13th Part V-A New Beginning(1985)

By Eric Polk-

I spoke of rewatching what was a staple of my horror movie viewing back in the magical '80s on both VHS and Cinemax(oddly enough, they'd all show this film just before their After Dark schedule). Like almost all F13 fans, I, too, detested this film. It was pointless, silly, and had, without a doubt, a major bs ending.

DBH Re-visits:Freddy vs. Jason(2003)

By Eric Polk-
If life has taught me two things, one is the secret to a great Chicken Parmesan(Prego spaghetti sauce!), the other is patience. Seeing what I saw at the end of Jason Goes to Hell:The Final Friday whet my appetite for the inevitable confrontation between THE two biggest horror icons of not only the 80s but possibly of all time.

DBH Re-Visits: The Blair Witch Project

In this edition of DBH re-visits, I decided to take a step back to re-watch a film that I have found many horror fans to be mixed about. Some of my horror friends say that the tension and realism of the film's premise and acting is what made it so scary to watch. Others though felt that the pace was too slow and there wasn't enough action to keep them interested. I remember when it first came out how I absolutley adored it. I thought it was simple yet effective and wanted to see if I still felt that way about it.

DBH Revisits:The Beast Within(1982)

By Eric Polk-
The Beast Within was a staple of the old Joe Bob Briggs show Monstervision back in the late-90s. I remember watching this episode and enjoying both the film and Briggs' commentary so when I saw this on the Netflix Instant Queue, I had to revisit this gem(or so I thought it was).

DBH Re-Visits: SAW 3D

Welcome to the first DBH Re-Visits! These will be a series of posts in which I, Eric, or Brandon go back and watch films we've previously seen and/or reviewed and see if our perspectives about the film has changed. This time, I decided to go back and revisit a film that really disappointed me the first time around, SAW 3D. Now I know a lot of people hate the SAW series, I'm not one of them. I love it and I'm not ashamed to say it. No, it's far from perfect, but we all have our vices. With that said, I decided to go back and watch the one saw film that left me with the worst taste in my mouth to see if i could find some redeeming factors to it.
