Day 9 "favorite exploitation / grind house film" of the 30 day horror challenge

I think grindhouse, I think sleazy off putting horror films like The Last House on the Left or I Spit On Your Grave. I read how I Spit On Your Grave is this statement on feminism and how it freed this woman!?! So in essence you are saying that by her getting raped, it freed her to be the true woman she wants to be and that allows her to go about murdering her tormentors which further empowers her? I just find it completely sickening and offensive, but we'll save that for another post and another day. So if I must pick a film, that title goes to.....

oddly enough Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives. Like I Spit On Your Grave, it has a brutal and prolonged scene of torture. However, where I Spit On Your Grave was just rape scenes and then a bunch of grisly murders, Trannies approaches its material with such high spirits that you can't help, but to find it kinda irresistible. The ladies in this film are truly empowered, because what has happened to them has forced them to take stock of their lives, to go about training in the martial arts and then to prepare to take their tormentors on, on their own turf. From the costuming to the attitudes, in Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives these women are empowered to kick as much as* as possible, to get good old fashioned revenge and to do it as team effort with their best friends. Sure, after all is said and done, it's offensive also, but the way in which the story is executed, you really don't have that much time to ponder over things. Maybe if I Spit On Your Grave had token a que from Trannies in its attitude towards its characters and how they go about doing things, then maybe I Spit On Your Grave wouldn't be the sickening, offensive, pointless film that it is today.

So which film would you have picked? ....to take part, the rules are below, or you can check out the Facebook fan page and interact with everyone else that's taking part by visiting:

Not only does it sound like an awesome movie, but it would also make a great band name!
