Sisters |
Sisters (1973 version) from Brain De Palma. This was one of De Palma's first attempts at something Hitchcock like and boy does he ever succeed. The film has such an energy to it that it keeps viewers high strung in utter suspense of what's going to happen next or what new development is going to unfold. A brilliant music score helps to heighten the suspense, the unease, and the overall sense of panic and disorientation throughout. At the heart of the film, is an examination into the mindset of a very troubled character which leads to a disturbing finale and an unforgettable plot twist. Sisters may have been one of De Palma's first films, but it's also one of his finest efforts. A must see.
