Dollar Bin Film - 976 Evil 2: The Astral Factor

The demonic telephone number of the original has seduced another loner, another weirdo who commits a series of murders courtesy of said telephone number that allows his soul to project from his body whenever he falls asleep so that he can continue his murder spree while in prison.

Loosely connected sequel abandons the weird for weirds sake style of the original in favor of a more mainstreamed approach, but still remains just as poorly conceived.
The opening sequence features a busty victim to be running around screaming in an over the top performance while an overwrought music score plays in the background all while set to a poorly choreographed chase sequence. The opening sequence gets the film off to a poor start, but it also sets the film up for failure. The rest of the film follows suit with bad acting, bad direction and a bad score. A clever sequence in which a person is zapped into a TV during the middle of It's A Wonderful Life only to have the cast turn into murderous zombies feels completely out of pace with the rest of the film as does the finale. Everything, every little move that 976-Evil 2 makes is either the wrong choice or something that feels disconnected from the rest of the film.
