A huge congratulations is in order to my two favorite women in indie horror, Jen and Sylvia Soska. If you've had the chance to see their first feature length film, Dead Hooker in a Trunk, then you know why I say they are my favorite...and now they seem to be taking over the world! Their second feature film, American Mary, will be playing at the Cannes Film Festival (Yes, THE Cannes!!!). And to get everyone even more pumped, they've released the first still from the film (below). Like I told them, I think it looks beautiful and I'm even more excited for this film. I am so happy for them and we here at Dollar Bin Horror just know that Cannes will adore you two!

The allure of easy money sends a desperate Mary through the messy world of underground surgeries which leaves more marks on her than the so-called freakish clientele.
I cannot wait to be able to see what is sure to be another masterpiece by the Queens of indie horror!

That's brilliant news, I love the sisters. Am sooo pleased for them. Can't wait to see Mary.
I didn't like Dead Hooker in a Trunk nearly as much as I wanted to, but this is still great news, since I'm cheerleading for them just because they're so damned cool. Go Soskas!
