The First Official Trailer for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is Released!

Now I know this isn't really horror related, but if you know me, you know I am one of the BIGGEST Lord of the Rings nerd on the planet, so it only seems right to share my excitement with all of you. It's been 10 years since the last LOTR film was released, and we the fans have been waiting for Peter Jackson to FINALLY make the prequel, The Hobbit. Jackson is currently filming The Hobbit, which will be released in two films and the first of which is to be released December of next year and the second in 2013. I cannot wait for this film to come out, and the epic first trailer has made it that much harder! Now even though it's not horror, I will be covering news about the film here on DBH (because dammit I can!) and I hope that at least some of the readers are as pumped as I am about this film! So without further adieu, The trailer:

Peter Jackson will undoubtedly bring a bit of horror to The Hobbit as he did with LOTR so surely it's all good!

I'm so glad he's making it in two parts, there's just too much for one movie. Looking forward to Mirkwood and Smaug.....and the Goblins etc etc.

Yeah I also like how he's combining the more adult style of LOTR while keeping with the child-like feel the Hobbit has cause it was written more toward children's tastes. The first movie is more along the book's story and I think the second one will tie it into LOTR more.
