Dollar Bin Horror Spotlight:Demons (1985)

By Eric Polk of The Audio Descent podcast-
"They will make cemeteries their cathedrals and the cities your tombs." A great hook to an even greater gorehound movie. So much I can say about this film in its praises, bloody, scary, and the best part, A ROCKIN' 80'S METAL SOUNDTRACK!!!!

A group of people gather together in a movie theatre in Berlin for a screening of a horror film. When one of the patrons touches a demon-shaped mask and is cut, that is when all the fun begins. She transforms(quite well for 80s SFX) into an underworld nasty and the throat-ripping, eye-popping(literally), crimson carnival begins.

Naturally, the ones still alive search and search for a way out,but it takes a deus ex machinia for that to happen. Meanwhille, some 80s punks come into the theatre where their fate awaits. Ok, so there is no depth here, nothing morally redeeming about this film. This is pure eye candy stamped by producer Dario Argento(my favorite director) and director Lamberto Bava(son of legendary Mario Bava). So have fun and remember this film has A ROCKIN' 80'S METAL SOUNDTRACK!!!!
