Anytime I hear of a movie starring a professional wrestler, I don't know whether to cry or wind my watch. You see the problem is, other than Rowdy Roddy Piper and The Rock a.k.a Dwayne Johnson, wrestlers can't act in a contained environment.
With 2006's See No Evil,it's current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Kane's turn to get blasted....but I won't because he's actually quite decent in this film.
Director by porno auteur Gregory Dark, the plot involves eight juvenile deliquents(the way they're dressed indicates to me this movie wasn't going for realism) cleaning up an old, run-down hotel. When one of the teens is captured (She has religious tattoos that are revealed to the killer when he spies on her in the shower), those who remain — a group that includes the cop who put a bullet inthe killer's head four years ago—band together to survive against the brutal killer.
What works for this film is the fact it is quite gory and the acting is ok for this genre film. Really, this film harkens back to the 80's style of second-line slasher films which I find rather enjoyable. Of course, the twist and flashbacks are a bit cliched, but don't let that stop you from giving this film a peek.
