Hello everyone out there in DBH land! I've decided to start something new in order to try and help out more indie film makers as much as I can from my wee little blog and create the Kickstarter Project of the Week. If you haven't heard of Kickstarter yet...who are you? But seriously, http://www.kickstarter.com is a site where film makers can ask for donations to help fund their films while returning the favor with little thank yous along the way (for a certain donation price, you could even get a production credit in some films!) It's a great way to help the indie horror film thrive and discover just how creative the indie world is.
This week's Project is a werewolf film called Bruin Lake.
Here's a little bit about the project:
We are making a low budget horror film called "BRUIN LAKE" staring Bill Moseley, Michael Berryman, Priscilla Barnes, Cassie Keller, Mike Holman, Jimmy Doom, Tony Senzamici, Greg Collins, Mike Hard and several others. The film is written by Scott Kodrik and Greg Hutto. It's going to be shot in the style of the old wolf man films in a cabin in Hell, Michigan. The film has been in the making for three years now and we are asking for your help to raise additional funding. Our film is a true classic modern day horror film. The Thing meets The Wolfman. We are confident that with your help, we can prove that our film will have the "Big Budget" look by using our experiences, cast and crew.
