There's dinosaurs and there's dinosaurs eating people. You want a plot??? Pfft. Don't need one if you've got velociraptors.

This movie still rules to this day, as does the third installment. Not so much number 2, that one didn't really do it for me.Michele (TheGirlWhoLovesHorror)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03309044766117909683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3072162757681353704.post-86699365500520326912011-03-10T19:20:05.968-06:002011-03-10T19:20:05.968-06:00Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with Mr. Johnny a...Yeah, I'm gonna have to side with Mr. Johnny and Andre on this one. I, too, saw it in the theaters when it premiered and it scared the bajeebers outta me. Like already mentioned, the experience in the theater did offer scary moments, not horror, but action and suspense.

Want plot and even some horror? Read the book. It was required reading for me in high school and I LOVED IT!Leah @ Unleash the Flying Monkeys!http://www.leahsaylorabney.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3072162757681353704.post-73198938975965010662011-03-10T17:01:37.005-06:002011-03-10T17:01:37.005-06:00Jurassic Park is one of my favorite films. It's exciting, it's about dinosaurs (which are awesome) and it scared the crap out of me when I saw it in the theater. Compared to all the horrible action films today--Jurassic is practically an oscar winner.Andre Dumashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07170879111034420803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3072162757681353704.post-20448920053206148662011-03-10T16:52:44.857-06:002011-03-10T16:52:44.857-06:00But it wasn't considered a horror movie. It...But it wasn't considered a horror movie. It's on a list of scary movie moments and given the fact that the CGI and dino-action wasn't seen that good before, it was frightening. The sound elements, the design, the progression... all of it was scary and thrilling. By saying that you wanted more plot means that you didn't understand what the movie is trying to make you feel. It's like Die Hard, Armageddon, Poseidon Adventure and Transformers. You aren't going for the plot, you're going for the action. It was marked as an action/adventure. As an escapist fare, it worked. It worked damn well. If you want plot, read the book.Mr. Johnny Sandmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05052255118249746992noreply@blogger.com
